Energy Certificate

The Attestato di Prestazione Energetica (APE) is a document certifying the energy performance of a property. A current APE is necessary to sell, gift or rent a property. The seller has to provide the APE to the buyer prior to the sale or lease of the property. It is the seller’s responsibility to pay for the certificate and must provide an original copy to the notary at the time of sale.
